Max Fordham LLP senior partner Henry Luker spent 12 years in Rome designing a building for contemporary art from an international competition sponsored by the Italian government in 1998, in the spring of 2010, visiting Maxi for the first time, national Museum of 21st century art. Theaward-

The design of architect Hadid combines concrete and glass to create an interior landscape that gives visitors a sense of exploration.

The roof features a range of sophisticated shading devices and buffer spaces to manage daylight and heat to achieve precise standards.

The room is divided into five display floors.

The central atrium is covered with glass and light filtration systems.
Beams, stairs, and linear lighting systems guide visitors through a series of internal walkways that end up in a large space in the third spacefloor level.
